Harvard-educated ophthalmologist Claude Belgrave Jr., MD, is the expert eye care doctor at Ophthalmology Associates PLLC in Franklin & Norfolk, Virginia. With more than 40 years of experience in the ophthalmology field, Dr. Belgrave expertly treats patients age four and up for a wide range of eye needs and problems.

Dr. Belgrave graduated from Harvard School of Medicine in Boston and then completed an ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Mount Sinai St. Luke’s West Hospital in New York. In 2018, 2019, and 2023, Dr. Belgrave received a top doctor in Suffolk recognition.

For Dr. Belgrave, patients are more than just a number. He genuinely cares for each and every patient at Ophthalmology Associates. He listens, supports, and guides his patients to optimal eye health and wellness. Dr. Belgrave speaks both English and medical Spanish, and he’s happy to converse in whichever language his patients prefer.

Appointments with Dr. Belgrave at Ophthalmology Associates are available Tuesday and Thursday from 10 am – 4 pm, and on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 am – 3 pm. Walk-ins are welcome but due to covid our abilities for walk ins are limited.

Dr. Belgrave performs comprehensive eye exams, children’s eye exams, and contacts and glasses fittings. He also treats allergies, glaucoma, dry eye, eye infections, and other conditions and diseases affecting the eyes.
